Limousine hire rates are dependent upon many variables: hire time, travel distance, the hire event and most importantly the season, the date and day of the week. Expect peak hire days and times to be at the top end of the price ranges below and there is also a need to book limos well in advance for Friday and Saturday – weddings and school balls as the demand usually exceeds the supply of limos.
Cheap limo hire can often be obtained by ringing around several suppliers close to the hire date. The risk is that most of the reputable businesses will already be booked out and you will be left hiring a ‘cheap limo’. However, on non peak days there are bargains and savings to be found.

Town Cars
- $90 – $150 per transfer in a luxury BMW, Caprice, Chrysler or Mercedes style sedan
Classic Sedans and Convertibles

School Balls
Expect the hire rates for school ball transfers to be at the top end or higher than the standard event transfers above. Schools tend to have there balls on Friday or Saturday nights which place the students in competition with wedding nights and other weekend limo hire.

Weddings
Beautiful classic and modern wedding limos
You can get a good estimate for the hire charge for wedding limousines calculated on an hourly basis. On most wedding days (Friday, Saturday and Sundays from September through to June the next year). Most wedding car and limousine hires will have a three or four hour minimum booking period. The general hourly rate may decrease for very long wedding bookings, but this will vary from company to company.
A typical classic car for a wedding hire will be $760 (4 x $190 per hour)
For shorter bookings expect the rate to be higher.
The price variation between companies for hiring a similar limousine may be a reflection of the standard of the cars, the service provided and reputation and reliability of the provider. Like most things you get what you pay for.
Most limousine bookings are now made via the internet. Recommendations from trusted friends; having experienced limos at a friend’s wedding or visiting a bridal expo are a good way to assess the quality of the vehicles and service provided by the business.
